Nacht van de Vluchteling
Fenix as the start and finish point of the Rotterdam routes
During Nacht van de Vluchteling, thousands of people walk 10, 20, 40 or 50 kilometres. By taking part, participants raise money for Stichting Vluchteling’s emergency aid projects. This year too, the Rotterdam routes set off from Fenix.
Walking routes
From Plein, participants can walk 10, 20, 40 or 50 kilometres. The 10 and 20 kilometre routes end back at Fenix. The 40 and 50 kilometre routes continue on to The Hague, where they finish on Sunday morning at Theater aan het Spui. Drinks and snacks are available along the way and at the finish.
Start times
The 10 and 20 kilometre routes start between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. These routes both start and finish at Fenix. Participants can finish until 10.30 p.m., with an extension until 11.00 p.m. at the latest.
The 40 and 50 kilometre routes start between 10.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m., also at Fenix, and finish on Sunday morning at Theater aan het Spui in The Hague.

World Refugee Day at Fenix
From 16 to 20 June, Fenix marks World Refugee Day with films, dinners, conversations and art. It is a week to reflect on what it means to flee, to live far from home and to begin again. The week ends with Nacht van de Vluchteling: a walking event organised by Stichting Vluchteling, in which participants walk to support emergency aid worldwide.
