On the menu

Together, Sieuw Tong and Jinai Looi, with her team from Het Zesde Geluk, form the Dim Sum Bar. You can find them at festivals where they serve Asian snacks. During Lunar New Year, they will be at Fenix for a few days.

The menu includes deep-fried spring rolls (vegetarian), steamed or baked buns with turnip (vegetarian), and steamed and/or deep-fried siu mai with chicken.

About the chefs

Jinai Looi (雷仁愛), born in Singapore and raised in Rotterdam, is a chef, teacher, and entrepreneur with a passion for Chinese and international cuisine. Since she was six, she has experimented with flavours, smells, and colours, sharing her creativity through her cooking studio Het Zesde Geluk, workshops, and catering for individuals and companies. Every year she takes part in Rotterdam’s Chinese New Year celebration, a tradition she keeps alive with pride and pleasure.

Sieuw Tong (謝少東) is an independent chef. He has worked in several renowned Chinese restaurants, including Asian Glories Rotterdam. He also gives cooking workshops and provides catering, from refined snacks to full dinners, on location. He is often hired as a chef and contributes to creating original and flavourful dishes.
