Language learning
From September: Practice Dutch with the Fenix collection
Language learning is more than just sitting behind the desk. It happens outside the classroom while experiencing new things too. We invite NT2 teachers to use Fenix collection and exhibition space to help their students practice Dutch.
Teaching materials
Together with NT2 teachers we're developing three sets of teaching materials for A0-B1+ levels. The sets match the Fenix collection with topics and learning goals of students of different levels. Collection artworks about migration, personal stories and history are excellent tools for practicing Dutch as the second language.
Each set consist of introductory assignment for the classroom, self-guided museum visit with the homework and summary assignment back at school. All materials include new vocabulary, reading and writing exercises. The main focus lays on speaking practice.
Get started
The educational materials are currently in development. Want to stay updated? Request the materials in advance using the form below. From September onwards, you can book a group visit via our website and start teaching alongside the exhibition All Directions.
The teaching materials are free. For using them in the classroom you will need a (colour) printer or a screen. Some assignments require a screen to show videos and play audios.
