Fenix is Rotterdam's new museum about migration. Artists, photographers, chefs, and other creatives tell stories that transcend borders. At this historic place of departure and arrival, where millions of Europeans once departed, and people from all over the world arrived, we demonstrate that migration is timeless and always personal.

In this museum where art, stories, and flavors converge, hospitality plays a key role. Fenix offers various concepts, each with its own unique story. For example, there's O Anatolian Café & Bakery, developed in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Maksut Aşkar, which focuses on Anatolian cuisine and artisanal bread made from ancient grains. On the corner of the building, you can sample Italian gelato at Gelateria Granucci, prepared according to traditional family recipes. There's also an espresso bar with a view of the Maas River, and a "Keuken op Plein" (Kitchen on Square) where Rotterdam chefs and communities showcase global flavors.
In addition to these concepts, there's a staff restaurant for colleagues, and we provide catering for cultural and business events. This makes the hospitality experience at Fenix constantly evolving: diverse, welcoming, and full of stories.

Your position

As a Service Representative at Fenix in Rotterdam, you'll be a vital part of our daily operations. You'll be the first point of contact for our guests and ensure they feel welcome from the moment they arrive. With a friendly and hospitable demeanor, you'll take orders, serve drinks and dishes, and ensure payments are processed correctly.

You'll also contribute to creating a clean and pleasant environment where guests can enjoy their time with us. Together with your colleagues, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly and that our guests have a positive experience.

You will be part of a close-knit team and work flexibly to deliver a consistent, high-quality service, regardless of workload or circumstances.

Your ingredients

• Ideally, you already have some experience in the hospitality industry, but we're also open to emerging talent. You'll feel right at home in the hospitality industry.
• You know that working in the hospitality industry can be physically quite tough. 
• You always go the extra mile, especially when it comes to hospitality and service.
• A man's heart goes through the stomach when it comes to food and drinks.
• At Vermaat, safety is fundamental. Our guests can count on a food-safe environment because you take it seriously every day.
• You can provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) upon request.
