Practice Dutch with the Fenix collection
Language learning is more than just sitting behind the desk; it also happens when you gain new experiences. The artworks at Fenix offer opportunities to learn Dutch in an inspiring context. Artworks about migration, personal stories, and history provide a powerful starting point for learning Dutch as a second language.
Teaching materials
Together with NT2 teachers, Fenix has developed three different sets of teaching materials that allow teachers to work independently with their students. The materials focus on vocabulary, reading and writing, and, above all, speaking skills. The lesson packages are aligned with the themes and learning objectives of the different language levels, from A1 to B1+.
Part A: A preparatory lesson in the classroom
Part B: An independent museum visit with related assignments
Part C: A follow-up assignment in the classroom

Practical information
- Suitable for levels A1 to B1+.
- For the classroom materials, you will need a screen or a printer.
- Please note: teachers need to print the materials for the museum visit themselves in advance.
- Cost: €50 per group. This includes the teaching materials and admission to the museum.
- After you make your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the teaching materials and the museum tickets.
School classes get more out of their visit with good preparation. Discuss with the students where they are going and what they can expect. Going over behaviour guidelines together in class also contributes to a pleasant visit.
