Treasure hunt for artworks in All Directions

Children can complete fun tasks using beautifully designed cards while exploring the museum with family, friends, or guides. These routes feature card sets - available at the welcome desk - developed in collaboration with Het Imaginarium and illustrator Rachel Sender, allowing children to discover the stories within the exhibitions in a playful and imaginative way.

For the All Directions exhibition, the cards feature illustrations of several artworks, such as The Bus by Red Grooms, Space Refugee by Omar Imam, and the gigantic blue slippers by Hana El-Sagini. Children can search for the artworks depicted on the cards (suitable for ages 4+). Alternatively, they can complete tasks and answer questions on the back of the cards (suitable for ages 7+), stimulating their imagination and empathy.

Searching for feelings in The Family of Migrants

Tension, courage, homesickness—these are some of the feelings featured on the cards accompanying the The Family of Migrants exhibition. When children hold a card with a specific feeling, they search for a photo that evokes that emotion.

On the back of the cards, there are questions that children can discuss together, such as, "What is the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or experienced?" or "What do you think: is saying goodbye difficult?"

Audiotour Kofferverhalen

The exhibition The Suitcase Labyrinth also features an audio tour specially designed for children aged around 9 and up. During this tour, they can listen to the stories behind some of the suitcases, playfully discovering the unique stories of suitcase donors.
